The basking area in the aquatic tank is a popular spot for Vietnamese pond turtles to relax. Since turtles spend a lot of time in and around water, it makes sense that they would choose a resting spot that is close to their natural aquatic environment. They may simply get water for drinking, bathing, and controlling their body temperature in this way.

The size and arrangement of the turtle's cage determine the number of appropriate sleeping spots.
