Putting some toys in a fish tank is a good option to entertain a fish. There are certain toys you can play with betta.

You should look into providing them with decorations and toys. You can include plastic plants and leaves that stimulate curiosity and give them interest to explore. You can add a floating object which helps you to build a bubble nest, and when the nest floats on the surface betta follow them. Even males use floating objects to get a response from the female while courting.

Put a betta in a large tank, so there is plenty of space for swimming around the circle and zigzags. Add some multicolored stones and pebbles for an extra splash of color. They increase the curiosity of the fish.

Bettas can play with an artificial flower and leaf which attract them; and the betta they swim toward thinking of as food. It also swims around the flower when they are bored.

Some betta are attracted to moving toys because they resemble insects, which are considered a live food for them, so they try to catch them.
