Foersch betta is found in the Mentaya River in southern Borneo Indonesia which originated from south asia. The betta's main habitat is creeks, forest swamps, and shallow pools. Some are merely a few centimeters deep.
Their natural habitat is characterized by the shaded area, as the branch of the canopy so the sunlight directly moves to the surface.
The water in these habitats typically has a brown hue, which is the result of the releasing of chemicals. The substrate in these regions is composed of fallen leaves, branches, and submerged tree roots, which create a rich and captive look.
The behavior of betta foerschi:
Territorial nature: in general betta is a territorial fish, a purple betta is not an exception. The threat to other fish via flaring gills. To prevent territorial nature, put them in a large tank and arrange proper hiding space.
Behavior with tankmates: betta comes with a brilliant color so they stand out among all the betta, like other betta they are less aggressive, they prefer to live with a betta who has a peaceful nature and follows a different lifecycle. Feeding: bettas are carnivores by nature and prefer animal protein and vegetables. Offer them food such as pellets, frozen, and live food. They are not choosy about the food.
