The Borkie is a mixed breed dog, resulting from breeding a Border Collie and a Yorkshire Terrier. The Borkie breed's precise lineage remains unclear, given its status as a relatively novel designer pet that has garnered significant attention in recent times.
There is a widespread belief that Borkies originated in the US, where the practice of breeding distinct designer dogs by crossbreeding various dog breeds has been prevalent for a considerable period.
The Borkie, which is alternatively referred to as the Yorkie Border Collie Mix, results from breeding a Yorkshire Terrier with a Border Collie to create a brand new hybrid canine. As Borkies are a fresh creation in the world of designer dog breeds, their physical features and personality may fluctuate depending on the unique genetic composition of each pup.
Borkies, on average, are diminutive or moderate canines that have a weight ranging from 10 to 25 pounds and a height of 12 to 15 inches at their shoulders. Their charming, furry demeanour is characterised by lengthy, velvety fur that varies in shades including black, white, brown, and gold.
