They belong to the Osphronemidae family and the gene is Gouramis and the related subfamily is Macropodusinae. betta is the gene of Siamese fighting fish. The name comes from Siam, Thailand known as Siam during the ancient period.
The double-tail betta is a tropical water fish in the region of South Asia. Native to the warm water of Asia, this fish can be found in slow-moving water such as rice paddies, canals, and floodplains in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.
