Dogs, especially Flat-Coated Retrievers, need to be well hydrated at all times. Dogs need water for several reasons, including keeping their bodies at a healthy temperature, facilitating digestion, supporting organ function, and ensuring good overall system performance. All day long, but especially before and after exercise, make sure your dog may drink from a clean bowl.

Maintain a constant supply of clean, fresh water for your Flat-Coated Retriever. It is important to keep water bowls clean and topped up on a regular basis to avoid the accumulation of germs or other impurities. Make sure there is always water by checking the level throughout the day and adding more as required.

Outdoor Adventures & Journeys: Always make sure to have enough water for your Flat-Coated Retriever when you go on outdoor adventures or travel. In places where potable water is scarce or nonexistent, this will keep your dog hydrated.

while it's hot outside or while they're exercising vigorously, Flat-Coated Retrievers may need more water than usual. Dogs sweat more than people do because they use panting to cool off.
