Origin Description

The unique King Shepherd dog breed emerged in the US in the 1990s as a consequence of selective breeding between the German Shepherd, the Alaskan Malamute, and the Great Pyrenees, among others.

With this earnest breeding, the main goal was to make a dog that was large and stronger than the German Shepherd as well as with an accent on power yet retaining the temperament, intelligence, and adaptability of its lift breeds. Description

The large dog breed known as the King Shepherd was carefully bred in the US in the 1990s from a number of different lines, including the Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, and Alaskan Malamute.
