Bettas are the most popular aquarium fish, because of their appearance. A galaxy koi betta is not an exception. They come in a different color and pattern.
in a betta world, male and female betta have some differences. Koi betta is no exception. A male betta can grow up to 3 inches whereas a female betta can grow up to 2.5 inches. The size is a prime difference in their appearance.
The second noticeable thing is the coloration. The male comes with a more beautiful color whereas the female has a dull and less intense color.
They belong to the Siamese fighting fish so males are highly aggressive and territorial; they can't endure other males. While the female is less aggressive.
You can accurately check the gender of koi betta, to check the egg spot. Female have an egg spot located on their ovipositor which looks like a white bump located past the head and between the ventral fin. A young female betta spot can not completely develop.
The scale of betta is large and pensive. Betta has an eye-catching glittery and shining appearance when flashing. The scale on the body has a different color than the fins.
