Normally orange betta ranges from super bright to pale pastel. The best coloration is deep pumpkin with black scaling. Some betta fish have random red, yellow, and black spots, they have an iridescence fin which is rare. They come with various color patterns, fin type, and tail type. Of them, Halfmoon orange and crowntail orange betta are the most common.
How to maintain the betta orange color?
pigmentation affects the nervous system and hormonal system of betta which effect the chromatophores.
Difference in appearance
in a betta world, male and female betta have some differences. orange betta is no exception. A male betta can grow up to 3 inches whereas a female betta can grow up to 2.5 inches. The size is a prime difference in their appearance.
The second noticeable thing is the coloration. The male comes with a more beautiful color whereas the female has a dull and less intense color.
Body shape
In a betta splendens has a streamlined body. It has a slender, torpedo-like shape which allows them movemently graceful.
Color pattern
· Solid – no color or pattern variation, whole fish has the same color.
· Bi-color – Fins color differs from the body color which is a Bi-color.
· Cambodian – fins have a solid color whereas the body is colorless or pale in color.

· Piebald – Pale flesh-colored face irrespective of body color.
· Full Mask – The natural color and pattern of the body are darker whereas the Face and body have the same solid color
· Dragon – main body color is solid with hard scale on the entire body
· Multi Color –multiple colors of the body and fin as well as different types of pattern
· Pastel – fin has a light shade, and the body remains a solid color
Breeders develop different varieties of finnage and scale:
