The predators of the bettas are fish, cats, salamanders, birds, and newts. The human also reduce their population by capturing them in aquariums and houses for fun. They also
fight and gamble with other bettas, they injure the betta and
may end up killing. Even during fertilization, male eats their eggs.
Orange betta is a carnivore and consumes daphnia, brine shrimp, zooplankton, and other small insects such as mosquitoes, cetaceans, bloodworms, etc. Like other creatures, there are two biggest there to bettas are water pollution and natural habitat destruction.
habitat destruction and water pollution are the two biggest threats. Human activity such as chemical plantations and industrial development destroy their natural habitat. Much of this habitat see is destroyed by human activity such as chemical exposure; because of that water quality becomes bad; which is harmful to betta because they prefer to live in freshwater.
Pollution can damage the water condition and pollute the water. Betta is a freshwater fish so they cannot survive in bed water. They may kill the fish. The big fish also threaten the betta because they eat the small betta. They are their predictors because after the spawning males may kill female betta, and during fertilization they eat their eggs.
Humans also reduce their number in the wild by capturing them in captivity as pets or fighting with other males.
Betta fish are harmless to humans; humans also keep them as pets for entertainment purposes which also affects their population. If you don’t properly care for the betta they will not live long life.
