regularly change the water. If you put in a large aquarium change the 20% of the water every 15 days and change the full water every month.
To maintain a healthy pink betta requires the heater to maintain a warm environment of 75- 80 ˚F. The appropriate temperature range is 78-80˚F. They prefer slightly acidic pH levels of 6.0-8.0, although they can endure pH levels up to 7.0. Maintain a stable pH range.
Symptoms that determine that Betta is sick:
· When betta gets sick, their color may fade or lose color.
· Healthy betta have a whole fin whereas unhealthy betta may develop a rip or torn fin.
· Normally, betta is highly active but when they become sick their movement slows down. Sometimes when they are sick, betta hides at the bottom of the tank like dead.
· Observe betta eating habits, when they are sick, they lose their appetites.
· The betta shows white spots around the head and mouth.
· The betta trying to rub and scratch the side of the tank may be they feel itching.
If you do not properly care about the chocolate betta they lead to many diseases, such as Finrot, velvet/ rust, ich/ white spot, etc. which result from parasitic, bacterial infection, and fungus. Some of the disease symptoms include dull color and decreased appetite.
