Betta fish live in the water so the biggest life threat is pollution from urban wastewater as well as industrial and agricultural runoff. The predators of the bettas are fish, cats, salamanders, birds, and newts. The human also reduce their population by capturing them in aquariums and houses for fun. They also fight and gamble with other bettas, they injure the betta and may end up killing. Even during fertilization, male eats their eggs.
Like other fishes, betta fishes have two biggest threats habitat destruction and pollution. Nowadays limited information on their conservation status and the population is available.
They are declared as a conservation state by the IUCN. They prefer to live in freshwater so the biggest threat to life is pollution and urban waste.
Betta is harmless to humans, but human activity lost its natural habitat. Most of the habitat was destroyed by human activity such as palm oil plantation and industrial development.
Much of these habitats are destroyed by human activity such as chemical exposure; because of that water quality becomes bad; which is harmful to betta because they prefer to live in freshwater.
Pink betta is rare and unique so pet lovers want to keep them. humans also keep them as pets for entertainment purposes which also affects their population. If you don’t properly care for the betta they do not live long life. When betta are released from his species they are harmful to others because of the infection and disease. So keep thebetta in his tank to prevent the disease.
Even betta can eat her own egg before hatching, so you can say that they are threat to them self.
