Red dragon bettahas bred a variety of betta so they are highly intelligent but you need little patience for them. A betta can follow commands and you can train them to do such things as follow the finger, swim through hoops, eat from hand, etc.

Before teaching any technique to your betta, train your betta to follow directions. First catch the betta's attention, by dragging your finger across the fish tank, if they notice your finger they swim toward them, elsewhere simply ignore them. Flashing the light or clapping to drag the attention of your betta in the direction of your finger. Once the betta notices the finger and swims toward the finger. Move a finger up and down or right and left. Teach other things once they follow your finger consistently.

Some of the basic techniques you should teach your betta. Catch the betta's attention via light and sound. The first trick is to follow your finger; first, gently tap on the glass and wait to see if your betta notices your finger or ignores it.

Swimming through hoops is one of the difficult tricks to teach. Use a pipe and band it with a circular motion. Everything is clean and sanitized. Move your finger and encourage Betta to follow. successfully passes in the hoop and rewards them with food.

If your betta does not learn, be a little persistent. Don’t give them stress. Give a proper time to rest for them. When you start training , conduct a 5 -10 minute session. You can teach twice a day.

Hygiene is important; wash your hands with warm water. A shop contains toxins so it is better to avoid them. When you try to teach them new tricks. The place is quiet. Don’t be aggressive, when you try to teach them to be patient. It’s taking time to teach them.
