Providing veiltail betta is the right amount of food and the right food is essential to keep them healthy. Betta is a carnivore by nature they need a protein-rich food. Food has a direct impact on the betta's overall health, good food maintains proper color, energy, and health.
Veiltail bettas prefer food in pellets, as they are enriched with essential nutrition. Betta prefers to variety of food. Feeding a betta mixture of pellets, freeze-dried and frozen food as well as live food offers proper nutrition and makes feeding time interesting.
Frozen food is an excellent choice for them, you can offer them brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. When you give them a proper diet their appearance is shining and they live a healthy life.
It is important to feed your betta the right amount of food. Do not overfeed the betta. Overfeeding can cause obesity or digestive problems. Properly supply a vitamin-enriched diet which increases the immunity system.
For this little hunter, a high-quality pellet, enriched with protein is considered as a base meal, with a healthy treat. Which can be either live or frozen. Occasionally you can serve them brine shrimp and bloodworms.
Some common betta foods you can offer are:
Pellets: pellets and omega are the first choice for elephant ear betta keepers. This food was easy to digest and rich in protein.
Flake food: flake food comes with different fillers so Betta remains interested in food. But feeding for a long time the same food causes bloating.
Frozen food: this is one of the favorite betta foods such as bloodworms. Some of the betta caretakers use frozen food like junk food or primary food.
Freeze-dried: treat your betta sometimes for change offer them Daphnia, and Brine Shrimp as an occasional treat. When they are bored from the regular diet offer them dried worms or shrimp.
Live food: live food is common for betta fry. some other live foods that can be used are mosquito larvae, bloodworms, and small insects.
When you feed the betta maintain a proper feeding schedule, feeding small portions of food twice a day. You can serve 4 to 6 pellets in every meal. But don’t overfeed them. Once a week choose a fast for them to good digestion system.
