Veiltail Betta is a tank/ aquarium fish. There are a total of 70 species in betta; which are freshwater fish. They are perfect for aquarium fish. Veiltail betta originated from rivers and marshes of south asia. They are a tropical freshwater fish. Veiltail betta lives in stable water not moving. These species are easy to look after and care for, and tolerate the tank environment. But as well as difficult to maintain.
Tank size
The species is small but active, they need a large space for a different activity. For one betta The ideal tank size is 10 gallons. Don’t put that big-tailed fish in a small bowl. What to put
Plants
It is a good choice to add live and artificial plants to the aquarium. The plants mimic their natural environment and also provide hiding spots. Substrate
Sand is considered a good option. Avoid putting sharp objects that tear the fin.
Decoration
Add a cave for extra hiding space and resting. Decoration should not have sharp edges.
Gravel and sand
Bettas typically eat what they fit in their mouth. Gravel is an ideal choice to subtract because granules are too big to digest. Sand is another alternative that gives the tank look like a natural habitant.
Accessories
Heater
Maintaining a temperature is essential, they prefer semi-warm water. Maintain a minimum water temperature of 75 degrees, so maintaining this temperature needs a heater. The heater depends on the tank size. The big tank needs a more powerful heater. When is temperature drops beyond the range switch the heater.
Lighting
Veiltail betta is highly active, they are active during the day and sleep at night. A tank illuminated with lights. A good light illuminates your betta color and helps the plant to grow. betta prefers natural sunlight for at least 8 to 12 hours. They follow the natural cycle means in the daytime they are active and sleep during nighttime. So, arrange the light according to them.
Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate:
Ammonia and nitrite are toxic to fish, their level always always 0 ppm. Nitrate can be below 20 ppm. Toxin level is maintained by the aquarium filter system and regular water changes. A toxin can kill the betta.
Water change
Bettas prefer to live in freshwater. Water change removes toxins and impurities from water. They help to stabilize the pH level. It is recommended to change 20% of the water every week, and once a month change full water. Which ensures that your dragon scale betta stays healthy and happy. Water change, Use an aquarium vacuum cleaner to remove old water from your tank. Use a clean bucket to carry fresh water.

Veiltail Betta is aggressive and territorial. This betta is considered a good tankmate to other species if you put them non-aggressive species. you cannot put male and female betta together except by breeding. When you have to choose the ideal tankmate for veiltail betta, choose a nonaggressive fish. Some ideal tankmates for veiltail bettas are:
Kuhli loaches
as appearance, loach have long-shaped eels and easily hide in small spaces. They need 20 gallons of water to be happy.
Cory fish
It is a freshwater catfish that belongs to the callichthyidae family and Corydoradinae subfamily. a 10-gallon capability of tank size. The water temperature required between 72 to 79 F (22 to 26 C), the PH value between 6.5 to 7.0. the hardness of water is up to 5 - 10 dGH. They prefer an omnivore diet.
Ghost shrimp
